Career Summary:
I have been trained as an applied social anthropologist (M.A.), a continental philosopher (B.A.), a comparative religion scholar (B.A.), and as a journalist (HS journalism program/newspaper staff; undergraduate English minor.) I have held professional leadership and assistance roles in research, operations, teaching, writing, publications, and data analysis. I am skilled in mixed methods research, data collection and analysis, ethnography, literature reviews, tailored survey, interview, questionnaire, and focus group sessions, study recruitment, participant observation, and translating specialty information for multiple audiences. I have gotten online course certifications and badges (salesforce) related to data analytics and project management. I am pursuing additional certifications and self-motivated knowledge in advanced data and policy analysis fields. My career goals have been focused on mixed methods and qualitative research, policy analysis, project management, communications, editorial assistance, and writing roles connected with social justice, arts/culture, heritage preservation, or diversity and inclusion. I am learning to go with the flow, however, and am grateful that an assortment of freelance / gig work is leading to more time for my own passions, and the flexibility to work remote/remote-hybrid around health conditions connected to sleep, neuromuscular, and digestive conditions.
